201 凸子日记：Iraq Study Group 和美国对外政策

The Iraq Study Group’s report issued a cold hard outlook over Iraq War.

The problems addressed was:

1)      Our country deserves a debate that prizes substance over rhetoric.

2)      Americans are dissatisfied not only in the situation in Iraq, but also in the state of American debate regarding Iraq

3)      Fundamental changes needed not only in Baghdad, but also in Washington.

4)      US foreign policy is doomed to a failure

5)      A 100-percenters (who insists Iraq war) is  a person you don’t want to be around.

6)      But the bipartisan group would not directly criticize Bush (during a war).

这个结果中最大的不期，就是它建议美国政府重新考虑其外交方面的政策方向。这在战时很少见。原因很简单，目前的美国国内对伊战存在严重分歧，而且希望改变的声音占大多数了。这与4年前布什政府靠爱国主义的口号所积攒起来的人气有明显区别。
