The Chinese New Year is just around the corner. Do my fellow overseas Chinese in the United States feel a pang of homesickness these past few days, just like I do? Although I'm far from home, I always yearn for the festive atmosphere of my hometown at this time of year. I remember when I was little, my family was always bustling with activity. My parents would prepare a sumptuous New Year's Eve dinner, and relatives and friends would gather around, chatting about the past year. Now, although that familiar atmosphere is gone, I still call my family to wish them a healthy and peaceful new year. Though I'm far away, my love and longing for my hometown have never changed.
