Years of waiting

becomes iron burned on an anvil

 

Seconds of waiting

can also be purgatorial

 

Adding two together

            it freezes me to coral

 

Around the coral

            ripples twist and swirl

 

Thoughts ride in a rollercoaster

climb and fall between the heaven and the hell

 

Every cell of the harden body

           Craves for a responding bell

 

The poor waiting heart

            has been burned into the ashes on a time-grill

           for a trust, for a dream, and a love above all

 

等待—Chinese

 

漫长的等待

          是一种炼焦

片刻的等待

          却也是炼狱之极

 

两种加起来

          化你成一尊礁石

礁石缝下

          泛着无数涟漪

 

念头如过山车

          一忽上天一忽落地

而等却之心

          已焦化在时间的灰里

漣（さざなみ）がぐるぐると逆巻く

 

ローラーコースターに乗っている思いは

天に上がったり地に落ちたりする

待つ心は

時間の灰に焼き尽くされそうである
