  • Voters in new poll oppose legislative proposals to relax election security rules.  Results come as Biden issues an executive order to expand voter rolls.

A plurality of voters oppose a sweeping Democratic election reform bill that would empower Washington to compel states to relax election security safeguards, according to a new Just the News Daily Poll with Scott Rasmussen.

By a margin of 46%-41%, respondents said they opposed a proposed election overhaul plan that would prohibit states from requiring photo ID to vote and make it hard to clean voter registration lists by removing people who have moved or died.

  • Maricopa County, a remaining hot zone in Arizona of 2020 election fraud claims, forcefully denied any malfeasance after images circulated online this weekend of what was alleged to be illegally shredded ballots pulled from a dumpster behind the Elections Department.
  • A coalition of 12 states has lodged a lawsuit against the Biden administration over an executive order. State attorneys general from Missouri, Arkansas, Arizona, Indiana, Kansas, Montana, Nebraska, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Utah are involved in the suit, which pertains to Biden's order titled "Protecting Public Health and the Environment and Restoring Science to Tackle the Climate Crisis." The legal challenge alleges that the presidential administration lacked authority to put out binding numbers for greenhouse gases' social costs to be utilized in federal regulations and that the potential stringency of regulations that might stem from the order would have a significant economic impact throughout the nation, according to a press release.
  • The entire staff of the Nevada Democratic Party, along with all consultants, has quit after a slate of candidates from the Democratic Socialists of America took over leadership positions, according to a news report. Democratic socialists are clashing with Democrats in Congress, too, with Sen. Bernie Sanders, a Vermont independent, and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, a New York Democrat who like Sanders identifies as a democratic socialist, each pressuring the establishment wing of the party.
