不论是反对他还是支持他，可以确定的是，99.9%的人都没有真的和川普他本人来往过或长时间的交谈过。大部份的人最多只是在电视上或竟选大会上看到他的一言半语，对于了解他本人到底如何，私底下是甚么样子，工作水平如何，难免会像是雾里看花，不够真实。

现实也相当符合以上这些人的评价。川普手下的公司企业大多经营不佳。媒体从他的税单中发现，川普整个集团的经营，在 2000 -2018 年实际收入为 负1.74 亿美元。从 2000 年开始计算，川普的所有高尔夫场地总计的亏损是 3.16 亿美元。他的的生意和房产基本上都在亏损。他本人还欠了银行＄４亿多美金，在几年内到期。（见注15）
他经手过的众多产品或公司大多失败 －
川普航空－倒闭，川普牛排－倒闭，川普贷款－倒闭，川普杂志－倒闭，川普大学－倒闭（还赔了$25个million）。Trump Taj Mahal －破产，Trump’s Castle －破产，Trump Plaza Casinos －破产，Trump Plaza Hotel －破产，Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts －破产， Trump Entertainment Resorts －破产。（见注16）
他打的贸易战，造成了美国本身损失。纽约美联储的估计是贸易战（到2020年）至少造成美国公司损失$1.7 trillion (不是 billion)。（见注17）
美国的国债从他2017年上台至今，３年多上涨了约$7个 trillion，增速为历史最高。（见注18）
近八百位经济学家（包括今年的诺贝尔奖得主）前几天签了联名信，说川普的经济政策根本不通，要求他下台。（见注19）
在他领导下，新冠病毒 的处理更是糟糕。美国的新冠感染人数是８５０万，死亡人数是２２万，远远超过任何西方已开发国家。甚至还比不上伊拉克或南非（见注20）。出现这种情况，56%的美国人认为是美国政府处理不善造成的。（见注21）
这些成绩，和认识他的人对他的评价倒是相当的符合。
