1. Matthew in AP Calculus BC: "Mrs. L, while we calculate the area of the region bounded by both curves of the polar equations, what if I don't graph or don't know how to graph then?"

Mrs. L: "You'd have to graph them in order to see which part(s) would be the intersection(s). If you don't know how to graph, well, you are left with one thing to do."

"Which is......"

"You kneel, looking up in the sky, and pray: 'Dearest lord, please give me the magic power.......'"

 

2. I told Dr. D that I'd mistakenly graphed the polar equation r=cos(2theta) as a two-leaf rose instead of four. It was all my fault for I slept for only an hour this morning around five, thus could not function normally. I told him the story about Dr. R. and A. He then gave me a title of a book called "The Course of Love", a novel about relationship but more in the philosophical sense. He said, " I am only half done but it seemed to be an interesting one." So I asked, " Do you think I should refer it to Dr. R?" "Yes". So I immediately found the text message I sent to Dr. R last night, saying "take care of yourself" together with my school email. I then further texted him with, "Dr. R, please get this book from amazon.com and hope you'll find it insightful." Oddly enough, I immediately got a reply, saying "you got the wrong number!" "But", I continued to text, though with puzzlement, "I am May, Dr, R" Within a second, the other end texted back, "But I am not Dr. R!"

Now I am getting sweaty. I went back to the facebook where Dr, R wrote on my timeline with his phone number. But of course! I was all wrong this morning. Not only did I shrink the rose leaves by half, but also copied the wrong number texting someone whom I thought was Dr. R. How awful! I felt flabbergasted, " I am sooooo sorry", I texted. The party on the other end was gracious, "no problem", whoever he/she was. 

"I am not Dr. R", I mumbled to myself, " But then again, I am not May either, right? My name is MH! If only people can pronounce my name......never mind...... Regard it a hilarious day! And, definitely skip the gym tonight and go to bed early!"

I fixed the phone number and sent everything accordingly.
