Autumn
Geese fly south in the blue sky
Their wordless song awakens
The buds hopeless of blooming
And my dreams unwilling to wake up
Companied by the frosty flowers and birds chirping
Wait for the wind to blow to the south
But thin air is
As motionless as I
While time still squirms silently
Pulling straight my shadow
Blood flows in the setting sun
Staining red maple leaves
And a sheet of white paper you sent

Jake Metcalfe - Such beautiful imagery compressed into this short poem. I very much like the use of the wordless songs of the geese as something that would startle you to awakening and give life back to the hopeless buds. Lovely poem, thanks for sharing.18 hours ago
