2009年，徐海燕走进了潜水圈。她在豆瓣中透露了自己为何潜水，她说想“逃离这个世界”。

　　潜水，为她在工作之余打开了另外一扇门，她在网上的专栏中写道：“潜水的路上有许多不一样的风景，不一样的人，不一样的事。然而这一路最迷人的，还是不断重新发现自己。”

At the bottom of an infinite lake

you find a narrow wooden door

and a sturgeon you wake.  

You sing him a folklore

that has survived time and forsake.

He hears in your desire a world to explore,

away from the filthy and the fake. 

He leads you fin through the flimsy door,

till you see a blue shore.
