And sorry I could not travel both
And be one traveler, long I stood
And looked down one as far as I could
To where it bent in the undergrowth;
Then took the other, as just as fair

Because it was grassy and wanted wear;
Though as for that, the passing there
Had worn them really about the same,
And both that morning equally lay
In leaves no step had trodden black
Oh, I kept the first for another day!
Yet knowing how way leads on to way,
I doubted if I should ever come back.
I shall be telling this with a sigh
Somewhere ages and ages hence:
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I
I took the one less traveled by,
And that has made all the difference.
二兄的译文也很妙呀. heart 译成世上, repetition 译成热吻都是妙句. 既有原文的意思, 又符合汉语习惯.
金秋兄,译作拜读了. 窃以为还是旧译为佳.
旧译

您的译作,与二兄对其译作的处理相似,比较偏重意译. 故此旧译新译虽同为意译为主,但相比之下,旧译的意境更似一幅"西洋画",味道也更贴近英文原作:)) 至于平仄,个人浅见,其实只要不是写成律,绝,倒无须太严格.以金秋兄之功底,也自能兼顾音韵之美.

看到Robert Frost 的名字觉得挺熟,这才想起不久前我还意译过他的一首诗. 现从博客里抄过来,为这很有趣的讨论助兴...
痴情
世上再也没有什么

这两首诗很耐人寻味的.
不过, 到底, 哪只手才是该去拉住的呢? ...... 然而,爱又是不讲道理的.从这个意义上说,还需不需要向人生那样不停追问呢......:)) 呵呵,功力尚浅,难免困惑,不好意思了:)))
时光流转, 岁月难留. 好象昨天还是个孩子的我, 如今孩子都成人了, 能不感叹吗? 我当年谈恋爱时的感觉好象是在两列相对行驶的列车上, 不可能看清所有的人. 只能去拉住向我伸出的手. 拉住了, 就坠如爱河, 没拉住, 就错过了. 爱是不讲道理的, 去拉就是了.
另, 个人感觉,第一句中"月"或无须道出点明.第三句转得稍微弱了些. 浅见,与兄探讨而已,莫怪:)
