George Michael任主唱的wham！是第一个在中国表演的西方著名摇滚乐队，国人大都比较熟悉。他后来自己单飞也很成功。看了一下自己有他三张CD，wham！，Faith， Listen without Prejudice Vol1，前一张是威猛乐队的成名作，后两张是George Mihcael单飞以后非常成功的唱片。
我刚来美国的时候，他还很活跃。George Michael年轻时很英俊，看过一个他的电视采访，他说自己觉得自己更喜欢自己脸的一侧，拍照录影尽量展示这一侧。当时觉得这个男人也太自恋了，对自己容貌的关心直追女性。直到有一天媒体报道他在洛杉矶一个公园被警察以在公共场所进行“淫荡行为”为由而逮捕，其实就是在公园厕所做匿名同性恋性行为，他的同性恋倾向就此公开 。对他的亲近朋友来说，这并不是秘密，他自己告诉过朋友他是双性恋。George Michael和不同的女人有过长久关系，但是并没有结过婚。从他这次被逮捕以后他就不再像以前那样活跃了，虽然之后二十年多年也发过唱片，开过演唱会。
George Michael有很多广受欢迎的歌曲，虽然是同性恋但是关于爱情的作品基本是以异性恋为主题的，包括这首美国billboard No. 1,
