金莲昨天葡萄架下春光肆泄，忘乎所以，回屋后，发现绣鞋少一只。 小童偷光,  拾绣鞋给了西门庆的女婿陈经济,  陈经济拿着她的绣鞋换取西门庆给金莲的方巾，绣鞋与方巾都是情物， 西门庆是丈夫， 陈经济是女婿加情人， 金莲同意信物暗换。

Jin had so much fun from the grape vine game yesterday, she didn’t realize she lost one shoe until the next day, a boy peeked her crazy wildness , then picked up the shoe, passed it to Chen Jing-ji, Ximen’s son-in-law, Chen stopped by with Jin’s shoe in hand exchanging for her handkerchief.  Shoes and handkerchief are both symbol of love.  Jin has Ximen as husband, and Chen as son-in-law and lover,  Jin agrees to secretly exchange the love symbols.
