Trip to Manitoulin Islands (1)

It started with an internet search. After I read the Viva Villa Cottage Resort website, read its comments, I started to dream to come to this place.  it was not far, but I had to keep waiting and waiting due to all kinds of reasons. Finally I got here this summer.

Sadly Garry has passed away, I only knew this once we arrived. A wonderful person who I met through the phone by his voice. He was so patient, and told me about the kagawong lake, about why it was shallow and safe for the little ones to swim, and why there are not any black flies, and why the lake was warm to swim while other place was too cold to swim at the same season. Gladly I met Ria, his wife, a kind lady with gentle heart who still missing her husband badly. We shared our story starting with our dogs, Pidi and Goodi, who are both Jack Russel....well, I couldn't believe I drank one bottle of red wine and one bottle of yellow wine with her...meeting wonderful person is part of the excitement of every trip.
