Alex Perry pays tribute to former Australia's Next Top Model co-star Charlotte Dawson ahead of 2015 Logie Awards

Supermodel Tyra Banks gave tribute to Charlotte Dawson on Australia's Next Top Model cycle nine's debut episode on Thursday.

And on Saturday Charlotte's former ANTM co-star Alex Perry did the same ahead of the Logie Awards in Melbourne.

The celebrity fashion designer shared a throwback snap of the pair on Instagram from 2009's red carpet, writing: 'Logies flashback with my beautiful Charlotte.'

Tyra, who spearheaded the Next Top Model franchise, said on Thursday's season opener: 'This season will have something missing.'

'Charlotte Dawson was a champion of the series and the models and she will be very missed. So on behalf of the global Next Top Model family, this season is dedicated to Charlotte.'

Last February the troubled TV presenter tragically took her own life in her Sydney home at the age of 47, after battling depression for many years.

Alex has honoured Charlotte in the past, on the anniversary of her passing writing: 'A year ago today we lost this beautiful girl' and later, on Mardi Gras, sharing a picture of the pair with the caption: 'Happy Mardi Gras... wherever you may be.'

Alex wasn't the only star of Australia's Next Top Model to take to social media ahead of the Logies, with Jennifer Hawkins showing off her dress from last year.

'Mr Maticevski.. love your work. One of my favourite Logies dresses,' she said of the Toni Maticevski piece.

The shot saw her adorned in the stunning fishtail skirt, the cropped white bodice of which showcased her slender frame.

Jennifer joked 'I did have to do a million sit-ups' to rock the dress, before adding 'can't wait for tonight.'

The Myer ambassador was previously unable to wear Alex's designs on the red carpet, but might do so on Sunday night now that he's a designer for Myer.
