Saks’ NYC Holiday Window Display Features Christian Louboutin’s Personal Objects
Christian Louboutin’s vivid imagination is on full display in four window vignettes that launched Monday at Saks Fifth Avenue’s New York City flagship.
In his “cabinet of curiosities” vignette, the shoe designer’s personal objects curated for the exhibition delve into Louboutin’s mind, and the three others individually represent the distinct personalities in his new women’s fragrance collection.
The Bikini Questa Sera, Tornade Blonde and Trouble in Heaven scents, which launched in September, are available at Christian Louboutin boutiques worldwide, on Christianlouboutin.com, and at select retailers.
Louboutin’s “cabinet of curiosities” window features taxidermy animals, shoes that belonged to the late artist Prince and Angelina Jolie’s Mangelina shoe that was designed to promote “Maleficent,” among other personal objects.
Highlights of the fragrance windows include Portuguese tiles from the top floor of Louboutin’s home in Lisbon, Portugal, in the Bikini Questa Sera display; a greenhouse ceiling and plants from Paris’ Jardin des Plantes — a nod to Louboutin’s love for gardens — for the Tornade Blonde window; and ceiling architecture from the Palais des Festivals at the Festival de Cannes for the Trouble in Heaven display.
