What to Wear to a Wedding
Wedding season is officially here and whether it's a black tie affair or a casual beach nuptial, our ETonline host, Katie Krause, wants to help you look your best as your friends say "I Do."
For a traditional church wedding Katie kept it classy with a conservative yet playful look. Having some fun with color, she found an adorable and classic royal blue dress by Elle with dotted fabric that adds some extra texture. She found a bold pair of coral, closed-toed pumps that pop perfectly against the dress especially when paired with a teal envelope clutch. To finish off the vibrant and classy look, she added a multi-colored statement necklace that tie the bright colors together.
It's all about southern attire for a garden wedding. Katie found the sweetest fit and flare dress by LC Lauren Conrad with a gradient peach checkered print that is flirty and girly. Nude patent leather platforms lengthen her legs but keep the attention on the twirl-worthy frock. Her periwinkle quilted bag with a knotted floral scarf tied to the strap adds a bit of sophistication and highlights the lilac in her gem necklace.
When waltzing off to a black tie wedding, it's glam all the way. Katie's hot pink gown is elegant, posh and will stand out in a crowd. The Grecian style features a wrap-around draw-string with gold detailing. To elevate the vibe of her formal wear, Katie chose gold accessories including a mid-arm cuff, three tier chain necklace and sparkly statement studs. A pair of swanky, strappy heels and a matching black clutch polish off the look.
A beach wedding calls for a boho-chic ensemble and Katie's peach maxi dress is both whimsical and romantic. The lace pleats are delicate and the tangerine A2 by Aerosoles wedges will ensure comfy feet all night long. The gold scalloped wristlet compliments the sunset-toned statement necklace and dresses up the casual, ocean-front appropriate dress.
