Sedin was injured in the first period of last nights game, when Blackhawks defenceman Duncan Keith elbowed him in the head in open ice. Theres been no firm diagnosis of Sedin from the Canucks yet, and it could be a while before there is one since its not uncommon for it take 48 to 72 hours after being hit in the head for potential onset of symptoms. On Thursday, Sedins teammate Manny Malhotra said the course of action that needs to be taken is clear. "Looking at the hit, the head was targeted and the League has taken a pretty strong stance and set a pretty high standard as to the disciplinary action they take with regards to those hits, so Im sure theyll uphold their high standards," said Malhotra.
