Wolves goaltender Franky Palazzese made 34 saves in the losing effort. The Colts held Sudbury to just four shots on goal in the first period, and outshot the Wolves 37-31 in total. Scott opened the scoring at 15:11 of the first period, and Barrie increased their lead to 2-0 with Labancs goal at 2:19 of the second. Pancel cut the deficit in half with his first goal of the game on the power play midway through the second period, but Halls goal gave the Colts a 3-1 edge heading into the final frame. Pancel scored his second of the night at 6:53 of the third.
