针对至少数万人的要求，白宫终于回复了！通篇避重就轻，有如媒体巨鳄abc的官方发言人，令人无语。
一位三番群的朋友对信件内容总结如下：下午4:35收到白宫请愿网站(或称白宫民政局，或白宫包子铺)的email，是回复关于10月16日美国广播公司辱华言论的请愿，说人家已经道歉啦，也采取措施啦，美宪第一修正案保护言论自由，即使该言论惹人不快; 联邦政府不能逼迫abc取消该节目; 若不满意，可以去联邦通讯委员会fcc抱屈，他们管电波，不受白宫左右，云云。
一位朋友说：看了这个声明只想骂娘。鸡毛之事和中国的 peaceful rise 风马牛不相及，把两个事挂钩，用心险恶。大家要苦练内功，从基层发动更多亚裔选民和政客，反种族歧视之斗争任重道远。
另一位朋友则回复：你也太对这些官老爷幻想了吧。。。 看这文笔，外交辞令都没有， 就是一门卫等风平浪静时打发的。。
一位女侠则说：同意。无中生有把这个扯出来，蛮不讲理又别有用心。跟上次波士顿报纸上那个白痴读者的来信有异曲同工之妙，哈哈。这下大家擦亮眼，不会被那些贴金美化的语言蒙蔽了，那不是给所有人的。
一位朋友很愤慨地表示：所谓选票民主，就是如果你人数不够，哪怕你的要求正义合理，也把你当成空气。虽然我是中国人，但这次抗议根本不是中国美国的事情。通篇回应，有如abc的代言人发言，实在滑稽！他说：也许这和美国民主无关，和低劣的人性有关。只要简单的一人一票，就永远逃不脱对弱势族群的漠视。
更有朋友提出：那就按照一个加拿大的会员建议的，得绕过“白宫”这个中宣部，直接到联合国去告。
白宫回信如下：
