当你年老银发飘飘 When you are old and grey and full of sleep,
壁炉火前头打瞌觉 And nodding by the fire, take down this book,

取下这书此诗慢瞧
从前模样你会梦着 And slowly read, and dream of the soft look
眼影深深慈祥目照；Your eyes had once, and of their shadows deep;

人皆爱你优雅倩笑 How many loved your moments of glad grace,
爱你美丽仪态容貌 And loved your beauty with love false or true,

假意真情却易混淆
唯他爱你朝圣魂窍，But one man loved the pilgrim soul in you,
爱你悲戚面庞到老； And loved the sorrows of your changing face;

炉火映你躬身弯腰 And bending down beside the glowing bars,
略带伤感私语悄悄 Murmur, a little sadly, how Love fled

咕哝挚爱他怎先跑
山峦之巅自步逍遥 And paced upon the mountains overhead
夜幕遮面星光闪耀。And hid his face amid a crowd of stars.
