Before starting DT stocks, I paid ZERO interest to politics and politicians. I wanted them out of my life.
DT stocks makes me realize how much they influence one's life and one's decision making in their business and daily life. Often times, their words will rock or bottom the stock market and far-outshine FA/TA analysts.
Look at the CEO of Starbucks, who is intelligent enough to turn the recent political chaos into a golden business opportunity by brewing a nation into "caffeination" by offering Civic Spice Latter. While there is no winner for the mess the politicians created, his action actually made me interested in buying SBUX in the future when it dips. I like CEOs who not only can invent and manage a company well. What's more important is their instinct at grabbing each crisis and turn it into a marketing opportunity for their own products or service.
FB CEO is no different. He has been throwing olive branches to high flying politicians including O8 and Chris Christie. This vision of his will help FB go very far. I will buy FB at every future dips.
Well, so much about the dirty politics and politicians. One does not need to like politicians but one should learn to take advantage of their each and every move to maximize one's own returns from trading the stock market. With that being said, hope we DQers can do better than the average Jones, if not indivially, maybe collectively?
