My daughter (6 yrs old) is a kind of autism according to her teacher. In my view, she is very smart sometimes, but sometimes she cannot figure some basic things which most kids can. She can do substraction correctly, like (100 -12), also good at additions, (5+5+2) or (29+6).
I feel that the problem is due to my and my wife's parenting style. We teacher her many things, but didn't go to the details to let her understand the real meaning.
I created a post here to solicit concrete methods to teach children, not discussion of methods, like the "Tiger" mother's methods. What are concrete methods? Examples: how to teach a child to do addtion of two digits? How to teach a child to read a watch? etc ... etc.
