十月杂诗

My friend M. had planned for several months to hike the John Muir Trail (JMT).  The date finally came and they were on road. But this summer the luck was not with the group, the had to quit after 10 days of backpacking on JMT. But M. is determined to hike the trail again next year, finished what she had left off.
THis poem is dedicated to her determination.

天暗风吹雨
惊雷破寂寥
此行功未满
登顶意难抛

江河依旧在
青山入梦遥
来年谁报到
伴玫走一遭？

My friend X.  had lost his job and found another in Shanghai. I wrote this but never send it to anyone, almost forgot about it if I did not look over my evernote.

相见时难别亦难，
回归故里为粮钱。
安居有意定硅谷，
漂泊无心入沪关。

今天在芝加哥参加晚辈婚礼有感

掌上明珠今完婚
才郎才女配成亲
鸳鸯蝴蝶成双对
天涯海角伴夫君

其二
伟威学堂初相识
两小无猜共求知
慕君才高胜学霸
感妾共磋几多时

其三
相邀好友与亲朋
各路嘉宾会芝城
百年好合同见证
相伴春夏与秋冬

I went hiking with M&M, Bolinas trail in Marin County. Flat and beautiful, one of my favourite.
 

 

波利纳斯步道长，
 红杉秀木望海洋。
踏出林海是牧场，
唯见牛群不见羊。
雏菊鸢尾迎我笑，
拾花又见苦菜黄。
人间盛世少饥馁，
何须碌碌耕织忙。
