John J. Mearsheimer and Yan Xuetong: Can China rise peacefully?-

The discussion was very interesting. Pro. Mearsheimer' conclusion which it seems impossible that China could rise without supremacy war was supported by abundant retrospects into the history and realistic consideration while Pro. Yan Xuetong's report is more likely based on wish. As far as I am concerned, there is no doubt that Pro. Mearsheimer provided the correct direction that China should  hurry up to prepare for the coming war or at least confined conflicts. However from Pro. Yan Xuetong's elaboration it is easily to conclude that leaders of China are still dreaming: There will be definitely no war between China and US or they are holding this wish because of nuclear weapons and tighter connection of economical activity. Nevertheless if we look back to analyse the human history it is not difficult to reach this common view: NO ANY COUNTRY HAS EVER ROSE WITHOUT BLOOD FROM BOTH SIDES. How could Chinease elitists group believe this stupid illusion that the Fates is merely fond of this only existing ancient civilization?  Obviously Chairman Mao was totally right: There is peace when prepared for war; Peace is dying when indulged in warfree fantacy.

Guys, this is only a practice for writing because I am facing an essay examination and topic is not going to be restricted to my background. It is supposed to include politics, millitary, enviorment protection, new power, marketing and so on. So please do not laugh at me though I know it deserves that. You will be greatly appreciated if give some advice or encourgement.
