"抛弃孩子的男人多了去了" is considered as acceptable norm but to women "女人都要为孩子生，为孩子活，为孩子死".

Not every woman enjoys being stay-home mom regardless her financial situation. At least her ex has the capability of taking care of the 2 boys. But I did read lots of article talking about women cannot bear with their poor/sick husband and ending up leaving the husbands and kids to pursue their happiness...
