【专辑介绍】

　　有一首歌我们已经听过无数次，却常听常新，有一位歌唱家演唱了几十年观众却百听不厌，这首歌让人记住了她的名字——叶佩英。马来西亚归侨，我国着名的女高音歌唱家，她用自己的经历诠释这首歌，她用自己百灵般的声音演唱这支歌，这发自心底的呼唤源自一个赤子之心我爱你中国。这首歌就是中国1979年拍摄的影片《海外赤子》的歌曲《我爱你中国》。
　　叶佩英女士(1935--)15岁从马来西亚回到了自己的祖国。15岁时父母就告诉她，我们的国家叫中国，叫唐山。在国外深深感觉到弱国被人欺，看到新中国成立，自己的国家，人民当家作主的国家，父母就把她送回来，过来的时候不到16岁。叶佩英长期从事演唱和音乐教学，现兼任中国和平统一促进会常务理事。她还是中国第六、七届全国人大代表，第八、九、十届全国政协委员。七十年代末，随着电影《海外赤子》的播映，叶佩英演唱的插曲《我爱你，中国》迅速传遍神州大地。这位从马来西亚归来的海外赤子，将她对祖国的一片赤诚和热爱倾注在深情的歌声中，打动了每一个中国人的心。
　　叶佩英说：“我到许多国家演出过，每个地方的华人都要求我唱《我爱你，中国》。台下，他们边听边流泪；台上，我边唱边流泪。游子心中常想娘，我深知这种思念是梦魂牵绕，越来越长。”很多年过去了，叶佩英一直用她那甜美的歌喉、圆润的嗓音，歌唱着生活，歌唱着祖国。这些年来，叶佩英应邀参加过无数场演出，每场都要演唱《我爱你，中国》，因为“这不仅是海外赤子的情怀，也是中华民族的情怀。”
