Kenny G肯尼·基，美国著名萨克斯演奏家。1956年6月5日出于美国西雅图。少年时代在福兰克林读书，10岁时观看了一部音乐剧，从而开始迷恋上萨克斯。上中学时曾试图进入一个爵士乐队，但没有如愿，可见他并不是一个音乐天才。根据他母亲的意愿，他学了金融专业，并以优异成绩毕业于华盛顿大学财会系。肯尼基在音乐上的成就，完全取决于他对萨克斯的热爱和长期不懈的刻苦努力。多年来，他坚持每天练琴3--4小时。肯尼基的音乐风格，是我的音乐。目前他与妻子住在洛杉矶城，美满的家庭对他的音乐事业支持很大。应该说是肯尼基改变了人们对萨克斯的认识，他也成为近10年来全球最受欢迎的萨克斯演奏家。人们都说只要听到肯尼·Ｇ独特的萨克斯声，大多数的人也就不自由主地心情松弛下来，这就是为什么世界各地的度假中心、知名旅馆或高级餐厅、咖啡厅，甚至机场，都不约而同播放肯尼·Ｇ的作品，因为大家都认同，只要按下ＰＬＡＹ键，就能轻松地沉醉在这位萨克斯王子的魔法当中。

肯尼·基（Kenny G）是美国著名萨克斯风演奏家，1956年6月5日出于美国西雅图。少年时代在福兰克林读书，10岁时观看了一部音乐剧，从而开始迷恋上萨克斯。上中学时曾试图进入一个爵士乐队，但没有如愿，可见他并不是一个天生的音乐奇才。根据他母亲的意愿，他学了金融专业，并以优异成绩毕业于华盛顿大学财会系。肯尼·基（Kenny G）在音乐上的成就，完全取决于他对萨克斯风的热爱和长期不懈的刻苦努力。
在肯尼·基（Kenny G）出现之前，萨克斯风一直是流行乐坛的配角，1987年，肯尼·基（Kenny G）的畅销单曲“Songbird 歌鸟”让全球乐迷疯狂爱上萨克斯风这种乐器，萨克斯风正式跃身为流行乐坛的主角，在至今为止二十年的岁月中，肯尼基以他独一无二的演奏风格风靡全球。他所创造的全球超过7500万张、在美国超过4500万张的专辑销售成绩，加之八张冠军专辑的记录，使他成为有史以来最成功的器乐演奏家之一。
