【专辑介绍】

　　朱崇懋（1922--2000）抒情男高音歌唱家。江苏苏州人。二十岁举行首次独唱音乐会，后在华东海军文工团和上海人民广播电台广播乐团工作，历任合唱指挥、独唱和艺术指导等职。在四十年的声乐艺术实践中，他以学习西欧传统唱法为基础，并向我国民族民间传统声乐艺术学习，形成自己的风格。他的演唱含蓄内在、细腻深情，音色甜美，吐字清晰，特别是在高声区的弱音控制和延长分外动人。他演唱的《草原之夜》，《金瓶似的小山上》等抒情歌曲风靡几代人，至今广为人们学唱。曾任中国广播艺术团合唱团艺术指导。1979年移居美国。1984年领导创建纽约海韵合唱团。1985年元月于纽约林肯中心爱丽丝桃丽厅指挥海韵合唱团在美国首演抗战音乐史诗《黄河大合唱》。此后，一直不懈地致力于中国合唱艺术在美国民众中的介绍和推广。2000年10月11日病逝于纽约。
