Children Songs

I learned some children rhyme from the DVD I bought for Keke.  But most of the songs make no or little sense for us.  Like “London bridge is falling down”, “ring around rose, ash ash, you fall down”, “there is a spider from the plumb”.  Some of the songs have being spread for hundreds years, like the legend, passed from generation to generation in the form of songs.  I wonder, in the western world, how come there are no or few songs to praise the diligent working people, like the “上学歌”， “读书郎”，“劳动最光荣”etc.  The system is different, so based on different life philosophy.
