Blondie（金髮女郎）樂隊成立于1974年，以復古、仿效20世紀60年代女子樂團為出發點，是活躍於1980年代著名4男1女美國叛客搖滾樂團，美國朋克音樂最早的發起者，後來引領了美國新浪潮朋克運動，曲調狂野奔放、李察基爾成名電影《美國舞男》American Gigolo主題曲《Call me》，及《Heart of glass》，都締造出流行音樂排行榜POP白金唱片佳績。

1976年發表的首張同名專輯，與流行、舞曲等有著巧妙的聯繫，立刻就有了一個好的開始，之後所發行「ParallelLines」、「Eat To The Beat」、「Auto American」 等一連串專輯唱片，不僅有優秀的排行榜成績，銷售量也都獲得破百萬張的白金唱片榮耀。後來因吉他手丈夫亦是團中與Deborah Harry共擔創作的靈魂人物Chris Stein罹癌，使得樂隊無法持Blondie的輝煌歲月終於告一段落，於1982年即拆夥，至1982年年底宣佈解散為止，Blondie一共推出過6張錄音室作品，創造了6首冠軍曲，2張Top 10的專輯，深刻地影響後來女子朋克／新浪潮舞曲藝人團體的爭相模仿。

但是盛情難卻，在全球歌迷多方邀請，還是在1997年復出，黛博拉金髮已改成紅髮，代表歌是風格更趨成熟，主唱Deborah Harry Blondie樂隊等更入主搖滾名人堂。





“The Best of Blondie” is a compilation album by American rock band Blondie. It was released in October 1981, and peaked at no.1 in Australia, no.4 in the UK and no.30 in the US. This edition remastered 2006 includes 3 bonus tracks.

The Best of Blondie glosses over their punk roots -- very little from the first album, apart from the vicious "Rip Her to Shreds" and the seductive "In the Flesh" -- but the band's pop hits are among the finest of their era and encapsulate all of the virtues of new wave. Apart from genuine chart hits like "Heart of Glass," "One Way or Another," "Dreaming," "Call Me," "Atomic," "The Tide Is High," and "Rapture," Best of Blondie picks up several of the group's best album tracks, like "(I'm Always Touched by Your) Presence, Dear" and "Hanging on the Telephone." The Best of Blondie isn't all you need to know, but it is an excellent introduction to one of the best new wave bands.
