Warm And Tender is quite a remarkable album in many ways. Olivia sings a selection of lullabies among other songs, and it is amazing what can be done with them when handled by a talented singer - Olivia sings the songs with such love and tenderness. The choice of songs made the album inaccessible to many listeners, but here Olivia returns to the style of her early successes, but with a delicacy and sweetness even more developed than in the early seventies. The album also marks the parting of the ways between Olivia and her US record company, MCA records. Olivia's only child, daughter Chloe, was about 4 at the release of her album of lullabies :-)
