I am 29 year-old and have been using La Mer for over two years now. I have used its cream, liquid foundation, loose powder, and exfoliator (the one allegedly contains diamond dust :)
Amongst all the products that I used, I have only purchased the cream and the loose powder again, and will continue to use them.
The exfoliator certainly does not worth the money. I find the diamond dust too harsh for my skin.
The liquid foundation, allegedly contains the same ingredient as the cream, is too dark for me and does not last on my face. It also has no oil control power and provides very little coverage. I had only used about 1/5 of the bottle, and am considering throwing it out. However, if you have good skin, do not require a lot of coverage and want a moisturizing foundation, then this is the one to purchase.
The loose powder is the best loose powder that I have used. One bottle can last you for a whole year. It is very light, natural looking, and goes with any foundation. I use 00, the lightest shade.
As for the cream, I find it is a good cream if you want to maintain your skin. It does not preform magic. Instead it slowly increases your skin\'s elasticity and improves its condition. Last year, at Christmas, I underwent a laser treatment to remove freckles. The doctor told me that the scars, 痂, would heal in 10 days. However, in my case, my face full of scars completely fell off in only 6 days. At that time, I had been using the cream for about a year. The cream was designed by a scientist to heal his facial scars. Therefore, the cream\'s primary function, after all, is to increase the skin\'s elasticity and to heal imperfection. It is not a magical cream. Again, if you are going through facial surgery, want to improve acne scars, or want to maintain your skin, then this is the cream to buy.
