        故事出自“通俗文学大师”张恨水先生之手——上演一场门第、金钱、权力、人性与爱情的激烈斗争。在上个世纪飘摇的二十年代，一切都在崩析与重建的边缘摇摆。金、白两大豪门家族内部矛盾在激烈冲突，北洋军阀勾心斗角，争权夺利……在“金”和“粉”的奢华后面，却是杀气腾腾的尔虞我诈，温情脉脉的亲情微笑，慈祥的天伦之乐，让金钱侵蚀得狰狞可恶，名门世家开始走向衰落……金燕西（陈坤饰）是北洋军阀内阁总理金铨（寇振海）之子。冷清秋（董洁饰）是善良美丽、清寒人家出身的才女。白秀珠（刘亦菲饰）出身大户人家，貌美惊艳却小姐脾气十足，对金燕西敢爱敢闹，令金不堪忍受。而金燕西对冷清秋一见钟情，展开激烈的追求……在反叛爱情与残酷封建意识的对立冲突下，一场三角情感纠缠，剪不断，理还乱……全剧以新的视觉观点摄取历史资料与生活素材，塑造了一批性格鲜明的人物形象，描绘了一幅乱世之秋，封建大家族.....
