School Yearbook

While I was waiting for my student to get ready for school this morning, I picked up a big, black hardcover book from the bookshelf. This book has been sitting there for many months, maybe years, but never bothered to pick it up untill this morning. It turned out to be my daughter's yearbook from Junior High School . I instantly went to the last page, and browsed through its index. I was looking for the count of pages or "appearances" next to each student. I counted it twice, and she had 15 "appearances", the most in the book, the next one had 11, and the third one had 9.

It reminded me about her yearbook from middle school when I accidentally discoverred that she had the most appearances in the book. Middle school and junior high are the toughest and complicated years for a teenager.

Back to this morning on the way to school, I asked my son "how come I never see your yearbook? "  He replied "because I do not have one and who cares about the yearbook."
