幽默 Humor,滑稽 Funny

I wonder if 幽默 a phonetic translation of humor and 滑稽 of funny. I know that 幽默 is most likely, how about 滑稽? I have always taken them,幽默 and滑稽, for granted. If they are indeed direct translations by our language experts generations ago, maybe I should start to accept 巴士,豪斯,司多,的士,赛可斯,etc, or should I? I dislike these recent translations very, very much. Please stop polluting the beautiful Chinese language with junky and cheap inventions. We have enough corresponding expressions, except 幽默 and 滑稽, of course. My rant...sorry if I offend some inventors
