Today is Wednesday, the fourth day of our trip. Today we left Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks and drove north to Yosemite. The first thing I noticed was the increase of the number of visitors - while Kings Canyon vista points had a few cars in its small parking lot, Yosemite had its big parking lot mostly filled. For the first day in Yosemite, we went to Glacier Point. From there we had a close look at the most famous points of Yosemite, Half Dome and Yosemite Falls. Although there were clouds, there was still a clear view most of the time and the clouds helped keep the temperature cool and therefore without mosquitoes. The view from Glacier Point was breathtaking because of its location - on the top of the opposite side of Yosemite Valley as Half Dome and Yosemite falls. This allowed a clear and whole view of all the peaks and falls of the other side, as well as an aerial view of Yosemite Valley below. We ended up staying there longer than we had planned for, so we returned to our hotel later than expected. I can’t wait to see more tomorrow.

Today we drove to Yosemite, listening to The Hobbit. I ate 6 mcnuggets at McDonalds. They were tasty. Still, there is a reason to pity me: they’re oily.
We went tramping off to a place called Glacier Point. The views over there were spectacular. It was so high up that cars looked even smaller than beetles! From the top, I could also see a swimming pool next to a hotel, crystal clear (and turquoise), and it looked like that it was only 1 inch times 1 inch.
I also had to crab walk along the ridges of an immense, ridge full rock to avoid the x-ray mischief detector vision of my grandparents. Kenneth had to follow me. I also jumped up some rocks. Some of my rock climbing moves were so clever that I should be recognized as a child prodigy!
Today we also moved into a new hotel. It’s four and ½ out of six stars. There’s paper, pens, six pillows (quite useful for making pillow forts), sewing kits, curtains, and… that’s pretty much it.
