Install the ethernet cable if you can

To me, wired connection is always the preference. Actually my computers have both wireless and wire that normally running off ethernet.

Some might push for fibre optics if you have the money.

Remodeling is the best time to put in all sorts of cables, that includes:

- HDMI,

- two or three sets of Coax cable: one for cable modem, one for cable TV, the other for feeding set-top-box/small ear signal/modulated AirPlay signal.

- ethernet cable cat 7 for Ge or 10Ge in near future

- fibre cables for 100Ge in near future

- audio wires

- cat 3 8 wire telephone cable for 4-line local exchange network

- home security cable, s-video or HDMI

- home security cable for door and windows opening.

...

HDMI can pass through ethernet, audio can be modulated on fibre so you might save one or two types of cable.
