ask for defference between 485 withdraw and denying

can anybody tell me is there any defference between withdrawing 485 application and waiting for being denied?, we will go back to China maybe for ever soon, just in case if we want to come back to USA in a few years later, which decision is more wiser? thanks for anyinput.
