最近这几课，都很费时间。虽然放在这里的录音是最终“一气呵成”，未经剪辑的结果，但练习的时候，却是一句一句“磨”过来的。
有时自己感觉练得比较顺的，录出来不一定有好的效果。这一课练习的时候我就感觉语感找得比上一课好一点，可是读完听起来却不如上一课好。反正学习的过程中，时进时退也属正常。耐住寂寞，慢慢练吧。
人言十年寒窗苦，我在那“寒窗”里前后呆了二十多年，从没感觉到过一点苦。可是现在这一次“回炉”，虽然只是每天做这么一点点作业而已，却真的仿佛是在挑战极限、考验自己。
Lesson 28 No parking
Jasper White is one of those rare people who believe in ancient myths. He has just bought a new house in the city, but ever since he moved in, he has had trouble with motorists. When he returns home at night, he always finds that someone has parked a car outside his gate. Because of this, he has not been able to get his own car into his garage even once. Jasper has put up 'No Parking' signs outside his gate, but these have not had any effect. Now he has put an ugly stone head over the gate. It is one of the ugliest faces I have ever seen. I asked him what it was and he told me that it was Medusa, the Gorgon. Jasper hopes that she will turn motorists to stone. But none of them has been turned to stone yet!
