An effective team minimizes self-oriented behaviors and focuses on getting the job done while working well together. We can all avoid office politics by implementing the following tips: Take the time to set team ground rules that outline acceptable and unacceptable individual behavior. Focus your time on being the best at your own work tasks. Only give your opinion or make a suggestion when you have something important to say; pick your battles!
