What is 人间正道?

人间正道是沧桑 in other words is 人间正道须转向.

In the early years, Mao Zedong's name hints that he was in a right direction--oriental, orientation.

He refused to follow Nationalist, where he already held a leading position. But he had a clear idea for he disclosed his mind to my grandfather in Shanghai, saying that other Communist leaders are dreaming to be ranking officers in Nationalist Party, but once the authority turns suddenly hostile, they would totally in a dire situation. Then my grandfather asked about what he would do, Mao said that: I have my own way, but how can I tell you. Thus, my grandfather was one of very few witnesses of that Mao's vital thinking before the failure of the Great Revolution. Later, when Mao heard that my grandfather would go to Soviet Union, he asked him to tell Cai Heseng about his words. When Cai heard this, Cai was puzzled.

Mao also rejected the order from the north, Stalin, he insistes on Chinese way-- to solve problem by Chinese. My grandfather shared some points with Mao, do not trust Russians and looked down at Wang Ming.

Chinese revolution gained victory by Mao's correct thought, which he lost in many parts afterwards because he had no supervision, no condition, "在损失如此大的关头,毛泽东仍未转弯,一意照既定方针办,不愿吸取教训".(Li Rui)

Liu Shaoqi in comparison was more clear minded, for instance he said that: Working is like a plane flying to Moscow, as always take either side to do so. Things can not be actually absolutely right, what can you do if not by this turning?

Yes,人间正道须转向, I should always bear this in my mind that change my way continuously and march forward incessantly to avoid the errors and mistakes I made in the past. Only by 转战, can I break out of an encirclement.
