Dear writer,
I am an event photographer, my schedule allows ample flexibility and I find your post very interesting. I am an English/Communications major from Vanderbilt - 1986, and love words and wordsmithing. I am a big believer in the power of a broad and diverse vocabulary. I once took a natural abilities/skills test/evaluation (The Highlands Program, don\'t know if they are still around) they include a vocabulary test, the only one not based on innate ability. According to them, building vocabulary is the only driving ability that can be learned. Point being, improving vocabulary is a controllable key to an individual\'s makeup, a variable anyone can leverage to their advantage. I have always thought that was fascinating. In my own experience, even in casual conversation, folks who use a varied and creative set of words impress as interesting and intelligent.
