《舞者》是一个关于“舞蹈”的凄美爱情故事。从小在单亲家庭生活又酷爱舞蹈的高纯是舞蹈学校毕业的学生，一心想考取北京舞蹈学院的他遇到了同样喜欢跳舞的金葵。两人因舞蹈而走在一起，并将对舞蹈的喜爱融入到了双人舞“冰火之恋”中。一次偶然的机会让高纯知道了关于他亲生父亲的消息，为了见到亲生父亲和考取北京舞蹈学院，他们来到北京一起为理想而努力、奋斗，也因为舞蹈而相恋。后来，高纯在北京打工过程中认识了善良的周欣，然而，在命运的安排下，金葵被拐卖，高纯摔断了腿，无力治疗，生命危急时刻，通过周欣才找到了自己的亲生父亲，并在其大力帮助下继承其父亲的巨额遗产。此后亲情、友情、爱情都围绕着高纯的财产展开，情节跌宕，感情变换，唯一不变的就是高纯和金葵对舞蹈的热爱……舞者对爱情和艺术的追求在最后时刻得到了升华——生命之舞永不停歌。
