Job title: Optic Engineer
Develop electro-optic products for DoD programs and commercial applications.
Requirement:
Ph.D. in optics or optical communication preferred.
Over two years of industry or academic experience.
Skills in optical phased array (OPA) and/or liquid crystal optical phased array (LC-OPA), optical beam steering device, computer controlling software, and electronics are desired. Knowledge in liquid crystal materials, optical polymers, and display is a plus.
Good oral and writing skills
Job Title: Electronics Engineer
RESPONSIBILITIES
Set up design plans of electronics hardware to support optical and
liquid crystal products
Develop, build and verify analog and digital circuits and systems
using EDA tools
Closely work with optical and liquid crystal engineers for layout,
fabrication, and systems upon delivery
Perform selection, purchase and management of all electronic
components
Carry out other company’s tasks including experimental research,
report writing, etc.
Assist in creating and submitting proposals
REQUIREMENTS
BS/MS in Electrical Engineering from a recognized institution with
3+ years experience
Experience in analog circuit design including ADC/DAC,
operational amplifier, square wave generator, etc.
Experience in digital circuits design including FPGA/VHDL/Verilog,
Altera or Xilinx Devices, Quartus-II or ISE, and Microcontroller
(C/Assemble)
Experience in PCB design (ORCAD/protel)
Experience in software design (VB6, VC++)
Knowledge of some interface protocols (USB, RS-232, I2C, etc.)
Strong communications and interpersonal skills
Experience in proposal writing and case management skills
(budget/schedule/deliverables) is a plus
Experience in consulting or working at small companies is a plus
