康德去世

German philosopher Immanuel Kant died in Königsberg, Prussia (now Kaliningrad, Russia).

 

1818

智利宣布从西班牙独立

 

虽然直到4月在迈普战役中才取得对西班牙人的决定性胜利，但智利在1818年这一天，智利民族独立领袖贝纳多·奥希金斯宣布智利从西班牙殖民统治中独立，成立智利共和国。

 

Chile's independence from Spain declared

Although the decisive victory over the Spanish did not come until April at the Battle of Maipú, Chile formally declared independence from Spain on this day in 1818, the first anniversary of Chile's victory at Chacabuco.

 

1912

中国末代皇帝溥仪在中国革命结束时退位。

 

1911年，辛亥革命于武昌爆发后，在内阁总理大臣袁世凯的逼迫之下，溥仪在宣统三年十二月廿五（1912年2月12日）由摄政皇太后隆裕太后颁布《宣统帝退位诏书》，宣告清帝正式退位，清朝统治结束，中国从帝制时代进入共和时代。1917年，溥仪在北洋军将领张勋等人支持下，在北京复辟重登帝位。但仅仅12天之后便被迫退位（史称张勋复辟、辫军复辟、丁巳复辟）

马其顿共和国更名

 

根据《普雷斯帕协议》（2018年）的条款，马其顿共和国正式更名为北马其顿共和国。

 

As per the terms of the Prespa Agreement (2018), the Republic of Macedonia formally changed its name to the Republic of North Macedonia.

 

2002

南斯拉夫前总统接受国际法庭审判

 

南斯拉夫总统斯洛博丹·米洛舍维奇在海牙前南斯拉夫问题国际刑事法庭因战争罪受审；四年后，他在审判结束前去世。

 

Slobodan Miloševi?, president of Yugoslavia in 1997–2000, went on trial for war crimes in The Hague, at the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia; he died four years later, before the trial had ended.
