多年前还没有出国的时候就久闻STING的大名. 逛街的时候也经常能从Background Music里听到他熟悉的声音. 这么多年来也一直没有机会去看看他的演唱会. 上学的时候穷学生一个, 虽然有闲但没钱.
生日那天, 老公照样还是玫瑰一打, 今年比往年多了一些装饰. 回家的时候就看见他钉钉锤锤, 有模有样的.
吃完蛋糕, 老公非要我坐下来看Ally McBeal. 这是我们从前谈恋爱的时候经常一起看的一个Show (喜欢上了有个性的Lucy Liu, 帅哥Robert Downy Jr.等人).
他找出我们最喜欢的Episode " Cloudy Skies, Chance of a Parade". STING在里面客窜一角.
最后一段大意是: Ally 的男朋友Larry 没有来为她庆祝生日(其实Ally是最怕过生日的, 而Larry当天在为STING作辩护律师). 在酒吧里, Ally 正准备离开, 突然灯光暗下来, Laryy 以" Every Breath You Take" 开始, 接着STING跟着也出场, 两人合唱, 全场一遍唏嘘, 掀起了整个酒吧的高潮. 接着Ally 和 Larry 在歌中慢舞.
看到此时, 老公拿出准备好的生日卡, 上面写到:
"Clearly...I cannot bring you Sting, I was not late, but I brought you the next best thing."
我就看见了两张STING演唱会的票. 当时真还被他老人家给感动了一把.
然后才是礼拜一的Police @ Shoreline Concert.
