箴言4.20-27

My son, pay attention to what I say; listen closely to my words. Do not let them out of your sight, keep them within your heart; for they are life to those who find them and health to a man's whole body. Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. Put away perversity from your mouth; keep corrupt talk far from your lips. Let your eyes look straight ahead, fix your gaze directly before you. Make level paths for your feet and take only ways that are firm. Do not swerve to the right orthe left; keep your foot from evil.  

我儿，要留心听我的言词，侧耳听我的话语，都不可离你的眼目，要存记在你心中。 因为得着它的，就得了生命，又得了医全体的良药。 你要保守你心，胜过保守一切（或作：你要切切保守你心），因为一生的果效是由心发出。你要除掉邪僻的口，弃绝乖谬的嘴。你的眼目要向前正看；你的眼睛（原文作皮）当向前直观。要修平你脚下的路，坚定你一切的道。 不可偏向左右；要使你的脚离开邪恶。
