SOS: May I still be back with this AP?

Hi all,

I am a H-1B holder. I currently filed my I-485 with my I-140 petition, and got the AP based on this I-485. Recently I got a RFE for my I-140, the response deadline is March 10. Before I was noticed about the RFE, I had bought the flights to back to China from March 20 - March 31. Considering the timing issue, if my I-140 is denied before my back, is it possible for me to be able to re-enter USA with AP? Did anyone experience the same/similar situation?
