Dear Fellow Chinese,

As the Chinese New Year is drawing near, I\'d like to say Happy Chinese New Year to all of you in advance. As a native from Hubei province, one of the regions hit hard by the recent snow storm in China, I\'m writing to you to seek your help to support China Snow Storm Disaster Relief efforts for all the impacted regions. As you may be aware of that, our beloved country, China, is experiencing the most severe snow storm in half a century. The damages are extremely severe and widespread: power outages, blocked rail lines and road links, closed airports, bursted water supply pipes, shortage in food and water supply, collapsed houses and etc. The disaster region covers fourteen provinces and the impacted population is estimated to be around 80 million. The economic damages are estimated to be at least $3billion. To make things worse, more snow is forecasted for the disaster regions. Since the Red Cross in China does not have a donation account in the U.S. and the Red Cross in the U.S. is too busy with its own rescue efforts, a non-profit charity account has been especially established with Chase to collect donations to support the snow storm relief efforts.
