http://www.cnn.com/2009/POLITICS/03/17/aig.bonuses.congress/index.html
this guy had a lot to do with the mess at Fannie and Freddie. his constituents must be proud. think it shows we need term limits. the power of the incumbency is too great

"This was a huge bill," Baucus said. "We agreed on structure. Then when staffs and Treasury get in the room and actually write it, that's where it got dropped. And frankly, it was such a rush, talking about the stimulus bill right now, to get it passed, I did not have time, other conferees did not have time to address many of the provisions that were modified significantly. We do the best we can, but we missed that stuff as a result."++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++What? If you don't know what the heck was in it then why where you all voting for it?????

An old Navy statement. When the Rats start fighting with each other to jump ship, it is time to jump yourself. Vote all these guys out. Every last one of them. Or plan on jumping ship.

On Tuesday he said he had NOTHING to do with it. On Wednesday he said he DID have something to do with it. The latest is that he had something to do with it but ONLY becuase the Higher Ups told him to. Please verify all of this for yourselves. "I didn't" "I did" "I DID....but because I was told to." Oh my God....What a shame. PREDICTION: Barney Frank is NEXT. What a shame....

I think it is Sen. Dodd is responsible for the great Financial Cleanup but Mr. Geighner has a big, big, big, fat financial liar!!!! But the president is not responsible for the mess. Because, Senator Dodd use the key words of our financial system in America.

If I used the line "We do the best we can, but we missed that stuff as a result" at my job, I would be fired immediately. How do we put a stop to this madness that we call government?

So they missed it. Chris Dodd and Treasury messed up on this in the rush to finish the bill. But I can tell you he is a good man and one of the most outspoken people in Congress when it comes to standing up for average Americans. Pass the windfall profits tax to recoup these AIG bonuses and get back to business.

Of course the administration asked him to leave the bonuses in...because the administration is beholden to the CEOs for the millions of $$ given during the campaign. Chicago politics, my good man!

The problem with voting all these crooks out is that the American people are too stupid to replace them with nothing but more crooks. Honestly, who but a crook would want their job anyway?

Senator Dodd is nothing more than a two face politician. I am sure in his thoughts I CAN LIE TO THE AMERICAN PUBLIC AND NOT GET CAUGHT. Senator you can lie to us but sooner or later it will come out. If I the power to put you in jail you would be there along witth Barney Frank, and the SEC. You are as much at fault as are the ilk that caused such a financial crisis here in American and it snowballed around the world. RESIGN YOU TWO FACED LIER!

People in Connecticut must be really stupid to keep electing Dodd. He's an idiot and a moron all in one. Same as voters in Massachusetts electing Barney Frank and Ted Kennedy. Another couple of idiots whose times have come.

"...when Treasury was shown the original Dodd amendment language, it raised legal concerns about the effect of the legislation on pre-existing contracts, pointing out that there could be litigation as a result."That would have been horrible. After all, there's such a shortage of lawyers in government...

Well. Obama has already taken "responsibility" has he not? Oh. Not really? Let's watch him toss this back to Bush. I'll bet Axelrod is already working on that teleprompter presentation. Let's just write this off along with earmarks, pork, lobbyists, and every other lie told to implant this socialist regime. Don't worry, Dodd and Frank are watching out for your financial future while Pelosi seeks Latino votes by keeping illegal workers working in California and Reid sets up his train set from Disneyworld to Vegas. My, but we are a stupid people!

(When Congress pass a bill, it is a joke; when Congress make a joke, it turns into law)
