Life of a Rain Drop
Billy
I grew up in a cloud, my papa always told me about the great danger about jumping down the pit. The pit was a hole in the cloud, if you jump down you fall down to the city of the giants. “Never ever jump down the pit! All rain drops jumping down turn up to be dead puddles” Papa said. Well, I jumped down a pit once and here I am alive to tell you the story.
One day walking to home from school my friends was persuading me to jump down the pit. “No” I said. “C’mon, it’ll be fun.” They always said. “Maybe let’s just look at it.” I said. We ran to the pit but I just accidentally just accidentally slipped and fell. My friends were laughing at the pit.
The sky was more than 1000 yards. I didn’t know when I’ll die. After several hours I saw huge wing like creatures. The clouds were above me and I looked up and saw they were black, instead of white, which was an unusual sign. After a day I heard a loud racket and then a loud flash. The atmosphere was getting hotter, not like my cold, high home.
“Ow!” I said while hitting the bottom of the world. A huge noisy monster with white eyes hit me and I fell down a black hole. It was hot and stinky down in the black hole. There was a pipe pouring out a strange black liquid and I plopped in the liquid. “Hey this is not bad at all! Better then Rapid Rain Water Park!” I said while sliding down the tunnel. “Ow!” I said while hitting the wall of the tunnel.
I looked up and saw a strange bright light from the sun on the other hole. I decided to rest here for a moment. But I was going higher. Was I being vaporized? I was getting higher each second. After several hours I saw a cloud. Could it be my home? But the light disappeared and I was falling. “Help!” I yelled. Luckily several raindrops heard me and threw a rope down for me to hold on bringing me back to my home.
Many raindrops came to praise me. “How was this adventure?” they asked me. “Best day ever, why won’t you guys try?” I asked them. “Why not?” they shrugged. And they jumped down, and that’s why we have rain.
